I have always had one word that helps me focus on what God wants me to be intentional about for the year. And at the end of each year I sit down with a cup of coffee and review what I have learned over the past 12 months.  I try to identify 3 large learning lessons and ask myself how I can apply these learning lessons into life moving forward. I then pull out my worksheets and set my Big VIP 7’s and VIP 3’s  onto my Goal sheet. These habits have helped bring more joy and success into my life.

My word for 2020 is FORTITUDE.   We will need strength in times of challenge to face diversity. The times are changing and Christians are being attacked form all sides by the enemy. Terrorism, non-Christians and much more. We are in a tremendous war with the enemy and we will be challenged to overcome our fear and must be willing to take risks as a follower of Jesus Christ. My friend and I both said if ever faced by someone who questioned our belief we would rather go to jail standing up for our Christian beliefs, then ever fail our Lord to save Face.

I know that 2020 will be incredible! It will provide incredible opportunities to learn more about God’s word, incredible opportunities build His kingdom and incredible opportunities to stand up for His truth!

Some other of our WomanUp! Faith women shared their 2020 one word. Here are some of there’s.

Colleen Kimberly:

Restore & Gentleness (She got 2!) Her prayer for these; Heavenly father please restore my thoughts, words and actions to see everyone as you have created them and allow me to be gentle with words and actions this year.

Terri Junker:

Gratitude, I am so blessed to have been chosen to be one of God’s children and His gift of salvation. I never want a day in 2020 and beyond to go by without expressingmy gratitude to my Savior & Lord. He has given me eternal life & I did nothing to earn it.  2 Corinthians 9:15, Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift.” May I never forget to praise Him.

Father God, may you give us the strength in Christ as stated in Philippians 4:13. This strength we need in times of diversity, light to break any clouds of darkness, wisdom to speak truth to the hearts you bring our way. We know 2020 is a visionary year to lift up and glorify you to the fullest! Our hearts belong to you, in Jesus name, Amen.

What is your word for 2020? Take time to pray about this and boldly ask the Lord to show you what you need to intentionally focus your heart and life on this year. Don’t get anxious, allow him to speak into your heart. Sisters, we are a WOMANUP! FAITH pack! We will be doing this together! Your sister in Christ ~Mina
